The examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two sessions.
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar has achieved an NIRF rank of 97 in the overall category with an NIRF score of 49.51. In terms of category-wise rankings, the institute has achieved NIRF 50th rank in the engineering category with a score of 55.91.NIT Silchar courses include undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various streams including engineering, science, humanities and 11 other departments. NIT Silchar courses include B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA and MBA. Many renowned companies have recently visited the NIT Silchar campus to offer students excellent job opportunities. During the NIT Silchar placements 2024-25, the highest package reached Rs. 52.89 LPA, while the average package stood at Rs. 13.54 LPA. The median package offered was Rs. 10 LPA. For BTech admission, JEE Main 2025 has already been conducted and JoSAA counselling is currently ongoing, round 1 and 2 have already been conducted and round 3 results are to be declared on July 4, 2025. JEE Mains 2026 applications will start from November 2025 and the 1st session will be conducted in January, 2026. For MTech admissions, GATE registration will commence in August,2025 and exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.
